Hal Ely Announces Candidacy for Fisher County Commisioner, Precinct 1

Hal Ely, from Sylvester, is a 1977 graduate of Roby High School. He received a A.A. in Farm and Ranch management in 1979 from Western Texas College and received an A.A. in Agriculture Education in 1981. In 1982 he worked for U.S.D.A., as a Technician for the Soil Conservation District at Snyder for a year then went into farming. Along with farming, he has worked for the county as a road hand full time and part time in the early 1980’s and also worked as a farm hand on area ranches and custom farming. In 1986 he joined the United States Army Reserve and was on active duty for nine month and was discharged in 1994. Ely stated, “I hope that if you don’t know me you would ask aomeone who does, because I would like to serve you as your Commissioner. If you would like to talk to me please call 325.721.9150. Hal is the son of Pat and Bud Ely of Sylvester.
