Fisher County Hospital swears in new member

The Fisher County Hospital Board of Trustees welcomed Sarah McLen, voting unanimously to appoint her to the vacancy left by board president Linda Deen, who also officially stepped down during last week’s meeting. McLen, along with current board members Terry Coker and Beverly Rister each took their oath of office before getting down to business.

Deen has served on the board for 16 years and the administration presented her with a gift in commemoration for those years of service from 2002 – 2018. “I knew that it was way too long,” Deen joked as she accepted it. “When I agreed to the appointment, Cle-Don said: ‘Don’t worry, Linda. It won’t be for long.’”
