Joie Morris

Roby junior, Joie Morris was invited earlier this school year to attend the National Leadership Forum for Medicine, an honor only extended to a few students across the nation each year. She will be taking off for the forum in Missouri this summer, that is, if she can raise enough funds to cover the tuition cost for the event.

As a straight-A student, Roby CISD was happy to welcome Joie into the district when her family moved from the Trent School District at the end of last year. It took little time into the groove in her new school, joining FFA — where she shows pigs — participating in UIL public speaking events, inducted into the National Honor Society, and became the manager for “as many sports teams as they would allow,” said Joie.

While she has always done well in school and strives to make good grades, her mom said, “Joie has really come alive in Roby and wanted to be involved in everything she can.”
