2 CENTS WORTH

CAROL GREENWAY-HOLLAND

Wow we got more rain, I know the ranchers are happy, their cattle will think they have died and gone to heaven with all this rain. The grass will grow as high as them, and they will have tanks full of water. Yes I may be married to a Kentucky Man, but a tank is a tank not a pond, and you can not change an old Texas Girl to say pond for a tank. The wild flowers in this part of Texas will be gorgeous this year with all this rain. The purple flowers are already beautiful, course they are all in our yards, Joe mowed them down Saturday, but in the pastures they will be gorgeous with all the other flowers that bloom in our area of Texas. I heard yesterday because of this weather some of the blue bonnets are already blooming in the hill country, and with all this rain the hill country should be as pretty as it was the year Ann and I went down there and come home with 5 Rolls of Hill Country pictures to paint by. Some of the fruit trees in our area have already bloomed so you know what the means, no fruit for us, and we can’t afford to buy it, last year good peaches were $100.00 a bushel. Course Joe sure does like a good fresh peach cobbler!!!!
