Any halfway decent writing instructor would tell you to avoid clichés like the plague — see what I did there — yet I would gather I’m not alone when saying things like, “There are not enough hours in the day” or “There’s just not enough of me to go around.” Nevertheless, at the risk of being cliché, sometimes I realize there simply isn’t enough of me to go around. ...
