John Ross Hale Jr., 72, passed away peacefully from this life on Sunday, November 24, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 18, 1952, in Brady, Texas, to John Ross Hale Sr. and Margie Bigham Hale. John “Ross” married his loving wife of 46 years, Joyce Sharp, on June 14, 1978.
Ross graduated from Hobbs High School in Hobbs, Texas, and from Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas, with a degree in Accounting. He and Joyce have lived in Comanche County for the last 35 years. Ross retired from the trucking industry after many years of committed service. He enjoyed many outdoor activities including hunting and fishing. His family was his greatest joy and accomplishment in life. Ross loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
Ross is survived by his devoted wife, Joyce; sons, Brian Hale and wife Lisa, and Jeremy Hale and wife Samantha; grandchildren, Briley Hale, Savannah Hale and Noah Hale; brother, Blake Hale and wife Susan; nieces, Lynnsey Parker and Gretchen Hicks; and other extended family.
