Donald (Donnie) Frank Fry, 53, of Clyde, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 16, 2022. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Bailey Howard Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Monty Barnett officiating.
Donnie was born on June 2, 1968, in Hamlin, Texas to Aubrey and Lou Ann (Driver) Fry. Donnie was a graduate of Cooper High school, where his love for shop class grew into a life-long career as an ASE Certified Master Technician who spent the last 23 years at Fain's Automotive, serving the Abilene community, and working with friends he considered family. Donnie loved to fish and perfect his air gun accuracy skills, but nothing could compare to the love he had for his two daughters.
Donnie is survived by his wife of 20 years, Jessica Fry; his loving daughters, Mackenzie and Madison Fry of Clyde/Abilene; his father, Aubrey Fry and wife Karen of Baird; his sister, Kristy Johnson of Clyde; two nephews, Shawn Levitre of Copperas Cove and Christian McAnalley of Clyde; one niece, Jessica Edwards of Baird; his aunts, Mary Alice Lee of Seminole and Jonelle Fry of San Saba and many, many cousins whom he loved greatly. Donnie was preceded in death by his mother, Lou Ann (Driver) Fry of Roby; his grandparents, Joe and Willie Driver of Roby and Odis and Ruth Fry of Clyde; his uncle, Duane Fry and aunts, Brenda Ellis and Joyce Lee as well as two infant sisters.
Donnie will be greatly missed and always loved.
