Irene Huitt, 99, passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021, in Sweetwater. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Monday, November 1, 2021, at the Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home in Rotan.
Irene was born October 4, 1922, in Pittsburg Texas to George and Selina (Johnson) Pitts. She was a loving family woman and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.
Irene is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Huitt; three sons, L.G. Williams, Charles Williams, and Virgil Franklin; and four grandchildren, Sherby Gunn, Phillis Gunn, Alvin Reddic and Willie James Reddic.
She is survived by seven children, Inez Reese, Eula Gentry, Kay Triggs, Jeremiah Williams, Sarah Reddic, Annie Franklin, and Henry Earl Franklin: thirty-six grandchildren, one hundred ten great grandchildren, one hundred ten great-great grandchildren, and two great-great-great grandchildren.
