    The Hermleigh Cardinals overpowered the Yellowhammers 73-28 Friday night, dealing the Hammers their third straight loss of the season, leaving Rotan with near-impossible odds of making it into the playoffs.

    Less than eight minutes into the first quarter, Hermleigh established a 23-0 lead. The Cardinals offensive line dominated the Yellowhammer front, allowing them to run the ball with ease.
