The Texas A&M Forest Service raised the State Wildfire Preparedness Level to Level 4 — on a 1-5 scale — in response to a surge in wildfire activity across the state due to this week’s weather forecast. The escalating threat is magnifying the potential for fires to intensify, rendering them increasingly challenging to manage and control.
