Abbott issues disaster declaration, seeks fed help

Gov. Greg Abbot has issued a disaster declaration for Texas counties affected by the early February ice storm and is seeking a federal declaration as well for areas in Southeast Texas affected by rare January tornadoes.

In 2016, when John Scott was a Rotary District Governor he presented the idea for a fundraiser to his home club, The Greater Big Spring Rotary Club. It was Pints for Polio where people pay a fee to sample beers.
