    The Aspermont City Council recently approved bids for waste collection services after a thorough deliberation process last month. Council members heard final comments from representatives of three competing companies before ultimately approving Abilene Environmental Landfill (AEL) as the selected provider. The current contract with Republic Waste Services is set to expire in September.
