The Fisher County Deputies responded to the scene in Rotan late Saturday night after gunshots were reported in the area of 4th Street and Roby Ave. No injuries were reported, and officers confirmed the gunshots, and that one arrest was made.

In an area stretching from Munday to Ballinger and from Colorado City to Eastland, the Lady Hornet 10U team slugged their way to the top of the USA Softball League of Texas bracket and walked away with the District 11 Championship ring, also slipping into the number one ranked 10U team in the state.

Aspermont City officials were able to breathe a little easier this week, with auditors delivering the city’s annual financial report on Tuesday, where despite increased expenses resulting from rising economic costs, the city ended FY 2023 with nearly $1 million in surplus.
