Fisher Commissioner indicted for theft

The Fisher County Grand Jury indicted Precinct 3 Commissioner Preston Martin on Wednesday, April 20 on charges of Theft of Property between 30 K – 150 K and Tampering with a Government Record with intent to Defraud/Harm.

Aspermont school approves nicotine testing policy

AISD Superintendent Zach Morris shared statistical information with trustees last week and expressed concerns about the wide-spread nicotine usage among students, which ultimately led the board to approve amendments to policies to include testing students for nicotine.

Double Mountain academics are State Bound

Young academics competed in the UIL Regional Academic Competition over the weekend, with Aspermont, Roby, and Rotan students headed to Austin to represent their respective school districts at the state competitions next weekend.
