Big Country Electric Cooperative's (BCEC) Annual Meeting of the Membership, which was scheduled for Tuesday, September 28 at The Coliseum in Snyder, is now a virtual event only - there will be no in-person meeting.

City of Aspermont self-funds major water project

Although partial costs for replacing the city’s main water line are covered through grants, the city declined recent funding proposals earlier this week, opting to cover expenses out-of-pocket to avoid significant interest payments.

Oct. 17th - Dec. 7th Medicare Open Enrollment for Part D prescription plans begins on October 15th and ends on December 7th. The Area Agency on Aging is currently scheduling appointments to provide seniors with information and assistance in selecting the right plan to meet their individual needs.

The Roby City Council unanimously approved the solitary bid for refuse collection services earlier this month, and while the city is anticipating much improved and expanded services, residents and business owners should not see a price increase.
