SMH Covid Clinic construction continues

With most of the prefabricated pieces arriving late last month, the construction of Stonewall Memorial Hospital’s new covid clinic is underway, but with another section on the way and plenty of utility and finishing work to do, the final completion date is still three months away.

The Double Mountain Chronicle took a trip to the coast with three Roby Volunteer Firefighters. "Three of our personnel are down at TEEX Municipal Fire School in College Station the last week of July furthering their training and skills to help our communities and county." said Julia Ledbetter.
The Old Glory Musicals are open to the public and the next one is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on August 28 at the Old Glory Community Center.

On Saturday night, Old Glory native Anita Dozier sat in the kitchen of the schoolhouse where she and all four of her children once studied, surrounded by friends and neighbors, like she has on so many other occasions. Now a community center, it’s a place where generations have learned and gathered.

After a minor legal proceeding, the Stonewall County Justice of the Peace awarded custody of Mama Dog and her litter of 11 puppies to Stephanie Mullen and the crew (otherwise known as the A Team) at the convenience store Allsup’s.
