Western Texas College Announces 12 Week Fall Opportunity Session Starting September 8

SNYDER— Western Texas College announced today that they will offer a twelve-week Fall Opportunity Session of online classes starting on September 8, 2020. Students at Western Texas College (WTC) and other colleges and universities can enroll in college courses for credit.

Deadline Approaching for USDA’s Coronavirus Food Assistance Program

Stonewall Co. sets budget but expects tough decisions by January

There were no members of the public in attendance last week during Stonewall County’s Public hearing regarding the FY 2021 Budget and tax rate, and although commissioners declined to raise taxes this year, the county is anticipating possible cuts and amendments if oil prices are slow to rebound.

Tax increase for City of Roby

The Roby City Council will host a public hearing next week before officially adopting this year’s tax rate, a roughly 4% increase to city taxes over those of 2019. While there are no major changes to this year’s budget, the Roby will also be working toward replacing the city’s water storage tank.

2020 Fisher County Rodeo

Although the 75th Anniversary last year was a hard one to top, yet despite the uncertainty of holding the event this year, the Fisher County Fair & Rodeo’s 76th Annual Rodeo had a recordbreaking turnout over the weekend.
