Monday, January 20, 2025 Check Your Mirrors, the column title, came from fourteen years of teaching driver education. On one level, I was reminding the young drivers of this important skill because they needed to “check their mirrors” to pass the driving test.

The Rotan City Council reviewed three bids during a special called meeting on Thursday, January 16, where contractors submitted estimates for the council’s earlier-approved project to mitigate the city’s first substandard structure.

Gerald Rogers with James E. Rogers and Company met with Roby CISD officials in a special called meeting held last Thursday, where board trustees reviewed the district’s annual financial report for 2024, explaining that the year’s shortfall was not a longterm financial concern.

Aspermont Council Kicks Off 2025

The Aspermont City Council held its first meeting of the year on Tuesday, reappointing aldermen ahead of calling for a May election. Officials also held public hearings regarding several structures in violation of city ordinances.
