The Rotan ISD Board of Trustees met with tax experts and legal counsel with the Fisher County Appraisal District on Monday, leaving officials just one week left to consider the financial impacts associated with a potential bond.

Jim Bynum (84) from Rotan was arrested on Tuesday, Aug. 6 after shooting and killing a dog that he encountered while walking his neighborhood. Following the report of the shooting, Fisher County Deputies arrested Bynum on charges of Cruelty to Non-livestock animals and resisting arrest.

Davis Winter -- daughter of Jenny & Mike Winter of Peackok -- picked up a few last-minute school supplies earlier this week just in time for the first day of school. August 14 is the First Day of School for Aspermont ISD and Rotan ISD students. Roby CISD starts on August 17.
