Jim Bynum faces felony charges; incident raises questions about self-defense and animal control
Jim Bynum (84) from Rotan was arrested on Tuesday, Aug. 6 after shooting and killing a dog that he encountered while walking his neighborhood. Following the report of the shooting, Fisher County Deputies arrested Bynum on charges of Cruelty to Non-livestock animals and resisting arrest.
