On November 19, 2024, the National Weather Service (NWS) in Lubbock, TX, had the honor of presenting Margie McNutt, our dedicated weather observer in Aspermont, TX, with the prestigious 35-Year Length of Service Award.

Vehicle inspections no longer required

I just hardly believe that we have not had any bad winter as of today, since it is almost Christmas. Of course, I won't complain since I do not like winter anyway. Always look on the bright side of everything.I suppose everyone is in a fizz and in a hurry to get it all done before Christmas Day.
