In recent months Knox Waste Service announced its upcoming sale to Republic Service, a company both Aspermont and Rotan cities dumped because of dramatically increasing service fees. Representatives of Republic Service assured city mayors that waste collection would not be affected during the transition, but city officials are watchful of the company and currently reviewing the contract wording.
