Sports teams across the Double Mountains are gearing up for battle with district competitions starting up this week, and the stakes are high moving toward the ultimate goal of state champions.
The first district game of the year was held in Aspermont on Tuesday, with the Lady Hornets snatching the win from Knox City in a three-set-sweep.
