Stonewall County Judge Ronnie Moorhead explained to commissioners on Monday the letter he received from the TCJS, requesting county representation during the upcoming jail standards committee meeting set for May 11 in Austin, where the county is listed among agenda items.

Former Fisher Co. Deputy indicted on two counts

The Fisher County Grand Jury indicted former Fisher County Deputy Erick Reynolds on charges of cruelty to nonlivestock animals and deadly conduct in discharging his firearm, each a third-degree felony with a $10,000 bond. Reynolds was taken into custody and later released on bond to await trial.
