Roby CISD Library invites public for summer reading

• “Plant Appreciation Day” will be held at the Rolling Plains Quail Research Ranch from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Registration begins at 9:00 AM and the ranch tour will start at 9:30, and lunch is catered. PRE-REGISTRATION IS $10 IF DONE BY MAY 10 AND ONLY $20 ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT.

Lucy Alls earns BSN-RN degree

Lucy Ragan Alls graduated from Angelo State University with her BSN-RN degree. Lucy has accepted a residency position in the ICU at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Ok. Lucy graduated Roby High School in 2020.

Fort Hood renamed after Korean, Vietnam war hero

It’s official. Fort Hood, named for a high-ranking Confederate officer in the Civil War, has been renamed Fort Cavazos, in honor of native Texan Richard E. Cavazos, the country’s first Hispanic four-star general.
