Joyce Mae (Sharp) Hale passed away peacefully on March 3 at her home in Comanche, Texas.
Joyce was born in Rotan, Texas, on August 8, 1957, the second oldest of seven children to J.D. and Jessie Sharp. Joyce married John Ross Hale Jr. on June 14, 1978. They were married 46 years before his passing on November 24, 2024. They had made their home in Comanche County for the last 35 years, where Joyce enjoyed cooking for her family and spending time with her grandchildren, to whom she was affectionately known as “Memaw.”
Besides her husband, Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters Judy and Karen; and grandchildren Kaci and Makayla.
Joyce is survived by her sons, Brian (Lisa) Hale and Jeremy (Samantha) Hale; her grandchildren Briley, Savannah, and Noah Hale; her siblings Charles Sharp, Larry Sharp, Ginger Neal (John), and Terre Kamer (Richard).
