Josie Solis Fillingim

November 26, 1965 - March 25, 2024

Josie Solis Fillingim left her earthly home on Monday, March 25, 2024. A Celebration of Life for Josie will be held at the First Baptist Church, Rotan, Texas on Friday, March 29, 2024 at 11 A.M. A visitation time will precede the service at 10 A.M. She was born in Breckenridge, Texas on November 26,1965 to Bartolo Cabellero and Evangelina (Solis) Diaz. Josie married H.T. Fillingim III in Ruidoso, New Mexico on March 6, 1998. Josie worked for the Fisher County Hospital for eighteen years before retiring in 2022. Their family was blessed with six beautiful children. Josie loved to cook, attended all of the kid’s sports, volunteered for Rotan Booster Club at the school for all of their events and just generally loved being a Mom and Grandmother. She also had three dogs that she adored.

Josie was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband H.T. Fillingim; her children, Chase Mahan, Tylee Fillingim, Arianna Fillingim, John Fillingim, Madison Fillingim and Alyssa Fillingim; three sisters, Sally Diaz, Linda Cameron and Tina Toland; two grandchildren, Makenna and Ryleigh Mahan; and her four-legged babies, Yannie, Yoda and Koda.
