Aspermont hosted the Cowboys for their first home game of the season, and were hoping to the end the game early, going up 35-0 at the half, but the Cowboys found second life in 3rd quarter, finally putting points on the board to open the half, and scoring 2 more in the 3rd. The 4th quarter would belong to the Hornets however, and would seal the deal late in the 4th with style. Sophomore English would lead the charge offensively for Aspemont, with 3 rushing touchdowns, 188 total rushing yards, and 3/3 passing with 1 passing td. Defensively, sophomore Payce Potts held things down, with 5 solo tackles, 12 assists, and 3 TFLs and a forced fumble to boot.
The Hornets after Friday's impressive bounce back, improve to 2-1 on the season.
This Thursday (9/17) they will travel to take on the 2-1 Guthrie Jaguars.
