The Aspermont City Council met with administrators from Meals on Wheels, which covers Hamlin and Aspermont, asking for assistance in getting much-needed food for community members who need it most. Beverly Guerra, who has been the administrator with Meals on Wheels Plus Inc.

In its first meeting of 2024, the Aspermont City Council approved an order on Monday, officially calling for a general election this upcoming May, which includes the city mayor and two city council seats, each with a two-year term.

Rotan ISD Trustees met for their first meeting of the new year on Monday, hearing from Gerald Rodgers with James E. Rodgers & Co. who presented the district’s annual financial report, which he said despite the year-end deficit, showed 2023 wrapped up as a break-even year.
