As an editor and columnist, I not only welcome opposing dialogue but advocate for the use of it, as in my observation the decisions that follow thoughtful debate frequently serve the greatest public interest.

What now? Let’s turn that frown upside down

While before diving into this editorial, I would hope that readers would have at least read beyond this week’s headlines. Although to truly understand how Fisher County reached the decision to close the county jail, you would have needed a subscription since 2013.

Who has time for opinions

While I hesitate to confirm any degree of common belief about myself, I cannot deny that when I am not purposely disconnecting for preoperative purposes, I find myself locked in a continuously evolving game of cat-and-mouse with the next story.

Blinded by transparency
