CAROL GREENWAYHOLLAND Wow what a week we have had, my son lost his job after 33 years, and what a eye opener it has been. I would't wish it on my worst enemy, and I will never say anything about why so many jobs and no one is being hired.
This one-time gem stood proudly at the City of Aspermont’s southern end, and while for some it remains sentimentally iconic, others see it as an eyesore and potential danger. It will likely be one of the first structures mitigated as the city’s cleanup project moves along Broadway.

The Aspermont City Council, during a lengthy meeting last week, approved proceeding to the next phase of its ongoing cleanup project, taking the initial steps for using code enforcement to remove dilapidated structures from the city’s main street.

Judge Ernie Armstrong brought Fisher County’s 32nd Judicial Courtroom to order more than two hours later than scheduled on Wednesday, where after meeting with both legal teams for more than an hour in chambers, announced the court would need additional information before hearing evidence.

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service is offering an industrial hemp field plot meeting for West Texas industrial hemp growers on Sept. 28. The event will be from 3-4:30 p.m. at the Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center in Lubbock, 1102 East Drew St.
