The June program at the Fisher County Historical Commission was brought by Jeff Hurt, Editor and Owner of the Double Mountain Chronicle.

Late night fire devastates Aspermont home

Shortly after midnight Thursday, June 2nd, the Stonewall County Volunteer Fire Department received a callout to a house fire. The fire was located at the corner of McCarty and Buie in south Aspermont. The fire department was able to keep the fire from spreading to nearby homes and structures.

Roby CISD 35th Annual Mane Event Success

We had a great success for our 35th year of the Roby Mane Event(Project Graduation) on Friday, May 20, 2022 from 10:00pm to 6:00am.

Fisher Deputy involved in shooting dog: Terminated

The Fisher County Sheriff’s Department is reeling this week after a series of complaints led to the termination of Deputy Erick Reynolds.
