Through official declaration by the Stonewall County Commissioners Court on Monday, July 16 will be known as Anita Baldree Dozier Day. This is in recognition of a lifetime of deduction to her community that spans 96 years this Saturday, the day that now bears her name.

Wayne Jones along with his son Josh Jones and the DMC went on a mission trip last week to Guatamela. They were in a group from First Baptist Church, Stigler, OK and the trip was organized by E3 Volunteers (Equip, engage, Empower). They were in the community of Agua Zarca.

Three arrested in deaths of 53 migrants

Three people were arrested last week by federal authorities in connection with a human smuggling incident that left 53 migrants dead.
The migrants were discovered inside a tractor-trailer on San Antonio’s Southwest Side, according to the San Antonio Express-News.

The Stonewall Memorial Hospital District Board of Directors met in a series of meetings leading up to the holiday break, hearing of a possible $700K repayment of covid funds while interviewing several applicants for district CEO, with the board extending an official offer on July 1.
