Inside Smith Land and Cattle Co.'s storefront in Sylvester, customers can browse freezers stocked with locally raised beef and pork, pick up homemade baked goods or enjoy a cup of coffee and a muffin with neighbors. It is a growing retail operation that began much smaller and that the Smiths hope will continue for generations.
