Rotan ISD trustees debate calling for potentional bond election

The Rotan ISD Board of Trustees met with tax experts and legal counsel with the Fisher County Appraisal District on Monday, leaving officials just one week left to consider the financial impacts associated with a potential bond.

84-YEAR-OLD ARRESTED FOR SHOOTING DOG

Jim Bynum (84) from Rotan was arrested on Tuesday, Aug. 6 after shooting and killing a dog that he encountered while walking his neighborhood. Following the report of the shooting, Fisher County Deputies arrested Bynum on charges of Cruelty to Non-livestock animals and resisting arrest.
