Football Round up Week 5

Week 5 has come & gone, and with one more week before district, a pair of our teams will get reps against each other, while the third will be taking its bye week to prepare.
Sophomore Kullen Daniel slips a tackle from a buffaloe defender during Roby's 65-48 win over Petersburg last Friday night in Roby. The Lions found themselves in a shootout early on in the match, trading blows until the end of the first half leading 30-28. Roby would come out strong in the second half, outscoring the the Buffs 35-20 to come out on top. The Lions improve to 3-1 on the season and will take on Baird this Friday at 7:30pm in Roby. Hornets drop nail biter to Southland 47-48

The Aspermont Hornets fell to 1-1 last Friday night after losing to the Southland Eagles. The Swarm came just a point short of avenging last year's 16-44 loss to the Eagles after Southland rallied in the 4th quarter to pull ahead just before the clock struck 0.
