Lady Lion XC/ Lummus punch tickets to State

Last Tuesday, Roby’s Cross Country runners took on Angelo State’s regional course. With tough competition from across the region, tensions were high, as this meet will determine whether they move on to the state meet.

Roby CISD athletes will be heading back to another state compeition. Friday, November 3rd at 10 am these group of Cross Country athletes will be running for a state medal at Old Settler's Park in Round Rock. After taking on last year’s state champions, the Westbrook Wildcats, last week, the Lions will be entering their next district game 0-2. The start of the game showed hope for the Lions. Rhylon Lester started the action by recovering a fumble on Westbrook’s own 30-yard line.

Hornets trample Patton Springs 54-0

The Aspermont Hornets bounced back last Friday night after dropping their district opener to Jayton 0-48. The Rangers of Patton Springs came to town and were at the mercy of the 'Swarm of Stonewall' right from the opening kickoff, which was taken to the house immediately by senior Carson Guidry.

Last Wednesday, Roby’s cross country runners got one final run in at Ballinger before the district meet. With the season winding down, nerves are coming to a high as the meets become more and more important. The Lady Lions battled through the tough course, and walked away with another team win.

Lions fall in District opener to Hermleigh Cardinals 6-52

After an initially nail biting game, the Lions will be entering district 0-1 this season after taking a loss to the Hermleigh Cardinals last Friday night. The game started strong for the Lions, after getting Hermleigh to turn the ball over on downs for their first possession.
