Hammers take back to back wins over Rule Bobcats

On January 29, the teams traveled to Rule to play the Bobcats and the lady Cats. A game that the lady Yellowhammers and the Rotan Hammers needed to come away with a victory.The first game was scheduled for 5:00 PM. B. Carrillo shot 60% on the court.

The University Interscholastic League recently released their football, volleyball, and basketball alignments for the 2026-2028 seasons. An updated student enrollment cutoff caused some major shakeups in school classifications throughout many parts of the state.

Following a pair of losses to the Hamlin Pied Pipers on Tuesday (9/20), the Rotan Yellowhammers and the Lady Yellowhammers finished out the week with a victory on Thursday (9/22). The win by the Lady Yellowhammers allowed the team to split the two game series with the Lady Pirates.

The Roby Lion vasity traveled last Tuesday (1/20) to take on the Hermleigh Cardinals.The Lady Lions had their hands full for the second goaround, down 19-50 at the half. Hermleigh kept the Lady Lions at a comfortable distance till the final buzzer, with the Roby girls falling 40-93.

The week of January 12-16 was a tough week of basketball for the Yellowhammer teams. The Lady Jaybirds were the visiting team on January 13; and Aspermont was the host of the second game on January 16. The Lady Yellowhammers managed to score a total of sixty-four points in both games combined.

The Lady Yellowhammers won their third district game against the Lady Raiders of Lueders-Avoca on January 9, by the score of 58-16..according to my stats and the score board at Avoca. The team grabbed 44 Rebs and distributed 13 assists on the offensive end of the court.
