Heat wave prompts conservation call

The Electric Reliability Council of Texas urged Texans to cut back on power usage last week when an unusually large number of power plants shut down for unexpected repairs as temperatures soared. ER-COT officials announced Friday that Texans could resume normal levels of electricity use, however.

As Roby CISD trustees begin preparing the 2022 budget, Superintendent Jason Carter presented a new employee compensation package for the board's consideration last week.

Draven Yanez of Rotan ( left) is awarded Camper of the Day at the Colt McCoy Youth Pro-Camp in Austin, TX. The son of Zach & Rose Yanez of Rotan, Draven (12) will be entering the 7th Grade where he intends to play Jr. High Football for the Yellowhammers.
