I’m ready for spring already. I do not like this cold weather, and it seems like I’m not the only one that is not enjoying it!!!!! Joe and I have stayed in the house as much as we can this week. That cold wind just cuts through us and hurts our old bones!!!!!

SUPREME COURT BLOCKS LOWER COURT REDISTRICTING RULING

The U.S. Supreme Court on Friday blocked a lower court ruling that threw out the state’s new congressional map, allowing the new districts to stay in place, at least for now. A federal panel, by a 2-1 vote, said a few days earlier that the new map was racially gerrymandered.

It’s a beautiful day in Aspermont, Texas, today. I’ve been outside painting backgrounds on canvas. The wind is not blowing on the back patio, so a perfect morning to get the backgrounds painted. I haven’t got to paint any this week because I’ve been helping Joe get that deer in the deep freeze.

Susan Sistrunk is an established artist and owned a gallery in Waco for years before moving to her home in the Lampasas County town of Kempner where she helped her husband build a barndominium. They both use it as a residence and studio. She does art and he modernizes antique and classic cars.

SMALL TALK

William, like most children these days, is obsessed with this whole “67” thing. His teacher has obviously been very annoyed with the students and finally told them it was a bad word.Today, Liam announced to his class (and teachers) that Mrs. Hart was misunderstood and that “67” was not a bad word.
