Big Country Electric Co-op announces 2024 Youth Tour Contest

Big Country Electric Cooperative (BCEC) requests your help spreading word amongst your students about the Governmentin- Action Youth Tour, an all-expenses paid trip to the nation’s Capitol. BCEC will send three local students on the Youth Tour, scheduled for June 16-24, 2024.

Today is such a pleasant day weather wise, nice and cool and cloudy. Maybe it'll rain, as we really need a nice rain. Seems everyone is so busy going to all the ball games, sports is a great time for everyone to visit and enjoy the games together.

Rotan’s 100-year-old water tower

The Rotan City Council met earlier this month, where questions were raised about the city’s water towers and the plan for repairing the deteriorating structures.

Trashy transitions in Aspermont

Aspermont city officials have been working through logistical issues and complaints from the public during the transition in waste management companies. However, problems are expected to be shortlived, with service returning to normal in the weeks to come.

GPS proposal for Stonewall County tower

The Stonewall Commissioners reviewed an initial proposal earlier this week from United Ag & Turf, requesting the county consider allowing the installation of an RTK transmitter on the county’s communication tower, which could benefit local farmers.
