Aspermont says goodbye to decaying icon

After a later start than anticipated due to concerns stemming from last week’s city council meeting, demolition of the house on Aspermont’s southern end — along with two other properties — proceeded on Monday with the owner giving assurances to the community about the property’s future.

The Rotan ISD approved leasing its property ownership percentage to Eagle Permian Partners, LLC when school trustees late last week which included an upfront cash payment and royalties based on production.
