The Fisher County Historical Commission had 13 attendees for the November 6th meeting in Roby. New donations were received this month. Patsy Dacus, now of Joshua, gave a monetary memorial donation of $100 in memory of Edith Flippo and Bettie Fry.

USDA Reminds Farmers and Ranchers to Vote in Fisher & Stonewall Counties Committee Election

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has started mailing ballots for the Farm Service Agency (FSA) county committee elections to eligible farmers and ranchers across the country. To be counted, ballots must be returned to the Fisher and Stonewall County FSA office or postmarked by Dec. 4, 2023.

At the District XC meet in Rotan earlier last month, Lady Lion senior runner Hailee Garmer leads the pack followed close behind by fellow senior teammate Chasity Benson. Benson would eventually overtake Garmer to place 1st overall, while Garmer finished 3rd. At the Regional meet in San Angelo, Garmer would turn the tables and take 1st place overall, with Benson finishing 2nd.
