Threat at Rotan ISD results in arrest

The Fisher county Sheriff’s Department notified residents on Friday, regarding a report of a terroristic threat made upon Rotan ISD. The report resulted in the lockdown of both Rotan and Roby school districts and the arrest of a 13-year-old Rotan ISD student.

Local recovery program receives extra funds

The Fisher County Commissioners approved diverting funds budgeted for community outreach to the Celebrate Recovery Program in Rotan last week, with the organization set to receive nearly $10,000 in muchneeded funding to support its continued efforts.
