Stonewall County wraps up difficult, but positive fiscal year

The Stonewall County Commissioners received its annual financial report at the end of June, hearing that challenging budget cuts and difficult decisions made during 2021 resulted in the county wrapping up the year with a positive shift in its net position.

Police question suspects in Rotan ISD vandalism case

After being notified of vandalism at the Rotan ISD Gymnasium, the Fisher County Sheriff’s Department questioned several students identified as suspects, and officials said while the investigation is ongoing, the charge associated with the crime is severe.
