TEA releases 2023 A-F accountability ratings

After a prolonged delay because of a lawsuit filed by about 100 school districts, the Texas Education Agency has released the 2023 A-F accountability ratings, indicating the share of campuses that received a passing ranking dropped by 14% from 2022.

Hay and forage conditions improved across the state with recent rainfall, setting the stage for promising hay yields and rangeland conditions for livestock grazing, according to Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service experts.

A 20-hour wait to speak: A pre-dawn House panel takes up Ten Commandments

IT'S THE FINAL COUNTDOWN

Early voting has now closed in Rotan, with 166 ballots already cast ahead of Election Day. Voters who haven’t yet made their voices heard will have one final opportunity to weigh in on four local propositions this Saturday, May 3, when polls open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
