Texas producers plant corn amid strong, but uncertain markets

The corn market has been relatively strong as Texas producers monitor planted fields in southern areas and prepare to plant in the High Plains.But that strong market might not last due to market pressures and a large increase in projected planted acres nationwide, said Mark Welch, Ph.D.

After nearly eight years of waiting, litigation, and stalled negotiations, Aspermont ISD officials say the district will finally receive a partial reimbursement from the insurance claim tied to the 2017 storm that destroyed the high school gym roof.
