Company representatives with Engie Renewables spoke with Stonewall County Commissioners this week, marking the first official meeting with the court ahead of a solar farm project proposed to be constructed on the Swenson Ranch.

Rotan Rolls Out Wreck-ognition for First Dilapidated Structure

The Rotan City Council held its first substandard structure hearing last week, the next step in its effort to address dilapidated structures throughout the city. With the council’s unanimous vote, this will be the first structure abated once the 30-day notification period expires.

IRS TAX TANGLE

Stonewall Memorial Hospital District Board of Directors met on Monday, where district CEO Michael Moorhead briefed officials regarding recent communications with the IRS as well as addressing some rumors about the incident as SMHD and other taxing entities work to resolve the missed tax payments.
After officials accepted his early resignation on Monday, Rotan ISD trustee Matt Preston’s seat remains vacant until the outcome of the November election.

The Rotan ISD Board of Trustees accepted the resignation of fellow board member, Matt Preston, leaving his seat vacant until the results of the upcoming November Elections.
