Jimmy Ramirez, of Roby, Texas, passed away on September 2, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family at the age of 83. He was born on April 11, 1943, in Anson, Texas, and lived a life marked by devotion to his work, love for his family, and enjoyment of life’s simple pleasures.

For many years, Jimmy worked at the Fisher County Courthouse, serving with steady commitment until his retirement. His working life reflected a dependable spirit and a quiet dedication to his community. He was also dedicated member of the Roby Volunteer Fire Department until his retirement. Beyond his years of service, he found joy in fishing, a pastime that brought him peace and many cherished moments.

Above all, Jimmy will be remembered as a beloved husband, father, grampy, and fatherin- law. He is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Mary Alice Ramirez; his daughters Belinda Ramirez and Erika Castillo and husband, Larry; April 1, 1943 - September 2, 2026

grandsons, Rylan Castillo and Raygan Castillo, who were among the most treasured blessings of his family. He is also survived by his sister, Lupe Sigala of Irving, Tx. Two sister-in-laws Nora Ramirez and Modesta Ramirez of Anson, TX. Numerous nieces and nephews who he held dear to his heart. He is proceeded in death by his parents Vicente & Juanita Ramirez. Six brothers Patricio & Martha Ramirez, Luis & Andrea Ramirez, Jesse Ramirez, Johnny & Maria Ramirez, Victor Ramirez, and Gabriel Ramirez.

Those who knew and loved Jimmy will hold close the example of his steadfastness, his care for those around him, and the warmth of his presence.

A Rosary will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Weathersbee Ray Funeral Home in Rotan. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Rotan, followed by burial at Roby Cemetery.

Jimmy Ramirez will be remembered with love, gratitude, and deep affection by all whose lives were touched by him.
