Double Mountain Chronicle Editor The Roby CISD Board of Trustees met on Monday, where after a brief update on the district’s bond project, the board tabled a vote on additional costs for repaving areas around the campuses until more accurate projections toward a clearer plan could be made.

This past week has been a great week as far as the weather was. It has not been too hot, and to get a rain shower once or twice a day, man you can't beat that. Love all the rain, everything has gotten alive and so green. Folks are feeling so much better and we all have more energy now.

Virtual Nature Club for kids starts Sept. 19

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service Virtual Nature Club will start Sept. 19. The online series for youth will provide virtual “campers” with lessons, videos, discussions and hands-on activities. The cost is $50. The club will meet from 4-5 p.m. every Monday through Nov.

The Fisher County Hospital Board of Directors in late August appointed Reid Cave to fill the board vacancy left by Glynetta Calllan’s resignation in May. Also discussed was that with no opposition against the three incumbents, FCHD will not need to hold an election in November.

The Rotan City Council met last week after several scheduling conflicts earlier in the month, where councilmembers were briefed on an ongoing issue regarding an illegal water tap and recent emails from the citizen alleged to have committed the crime.
